Day Ten: Salisbury, Stonehenge & Bath

We started off a little earlier today since we were headed for three places: Salisbury Cathedral, Stonehenge and bath. We took a bus with a guide to all of them. Our first destination was Salisbury Cathedral, located in Salisbury England, which is famous for having the tallest church spire in the U.K. We had a our tour guide with us, so it was nice to learn about its history and was a cool place to see, but we have already seen Saint Paul’s Cathedral and Notre Dame, and this one didn’t compare to either.

We then headed to Stonehenge. It was definitely very cool, and also such a marvel to how they got those stones there. It is still a mystery today what it was actually used for. While it was neat to see, there were way too many tourists there (as are most places we go). I am glad we went, but if you are pressed for time, I am not sure I would recommend driving all the way out there to see it.

The last place we went was Bath, where wetoured the Roman Baths for most of the time, and then walked around the town for the remaining time. This has by far been my favorite place. The town is beautiful. I could have spent a lot more time there! A lot of the places we see, I can just “check off my list”, knowing I will never come back, but this is definitely a place I would come back to.
